2015 HEDW Conference Hosted by Illinois State University to Feature International Data Analytics Firm CBIG Consulting

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 24, 2015

2015’s Higher Education Data Warehousing Forum’s Conference, hosted by Illinois State University at the Marriott Bloomington-Normal Hotel & Conference Center in Normal, Illinois will include international data analytics consultant CBIG Consulting, with CBIG Principal Todd Nash and CBIG Senior Manager Jerry Edwards as featured co-speakers at the event. CBIG Consulting is also a contributing sponsor for this annual event, which will be held April 19-22, 2015.

The HEDW Forum is geared toward bringing together technical developers like CBIG Consulting, with administrators of data and reporting systems, data custodians, institutional researchers, and a wide range of internal data users within these institutions who rely on this data to do their jobs. According to Nash, much of CBIG’s data analytics work in recent years has concentrated on the needs of many post-secondary schools that seek to better understand and facilitate, through actionable business intelligence, a more rewarding educational experience for their student populations.

To that end, Nash said CBIG’s topic will involve a practical approach behind developing a truly functional analytics platform these institutions can then build on, based on proven best-practices: “Our goal is to take the fear factor out of this process for those higher-ed clients who are struggling to get a BI solution in place. We intend to show how building a BI capability doesn’t have to involve a massive time investment or financial commitment, and we’ll break it down into a series of manageable steps.”

Nash noted that CBIG’s session at HEDW will also highlight how a higher-ed BI program can deliver several benefits including better student analytics and reporting functionality, more compatible matching of student backgrounds with educational programs, much-needed early detection and support protocols for struggling students, improvement in forecasting and projections with regard to application/acceptance statistics, and better tracking student life and trends through social media, student organizations, and athletics, to name a few.
